Recently I had the pleasure of tutoring again for 5 days at the CQ Patchwork & Needlework Assoc Inc. Retreat at the Girl’s Grammar School in Rockhampton in mid July. This is about the 4th time for me and it is always great re-connecting with everyone. Although the weather was cooler because the retreat is now in July not September, we were all comfortable, well fed and it was great weather for quilting.
I enjoyed seeing completed works from some of my previous Rocky Retreat workshops and this year more great quilts were made, some completed and some well on the way.

It was interesting sharing the venue with a music camp this year, and we were invited to a couple music sessions at the end of the day put on by the staff of that camp – wonderful way to end a working day. Those who stayed on were also invited to a performance by the students.
